Ruble moderately rises as cbank to increase foreign currency sale

MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- The Russian ruble has moved to moderate strengthening against all major traded currencies after the central bank announced its plans to increase the volume of foreign currency sales, as seen by PRIME on Wednesday from the trading data on the Moscow Exchange.

By 9.40 a.m. Moscow time, the ruble rose by 30 kopecks against the dollar to 97.61 and by 11 kopecks against the euro to 104.81.

The central bank said earlier that it would temporarily accelerate mirroring transactions related to the investment of the National Wealth Fund and from September 14 to September 22 will carry out an even sale of foreign currency for 150 billion rubles, so the daily volume of its sale will increase to 21.4 billion rubles from 2.3 billion rubles.
